CopyControl Updates - Version 2.00

New features in version 2.00 :

  • A Windows CopyControl Developer's Platform that includes CCADD and CCREMOTE is now provided.
  • Windows versions of CCLOOK, CCMOVE and CCCHANGE are now included.
  • Serial number, executions count and features now support 32 bit values (the CCMB structure has been extended to support these values).
  • The CCROM option has been renamed to UnLock-It and the CCMOVE /R option is now the /U option.
  • The CCP and CCRB structures have changed. Existing CCP and CCRB files will not work with the new version.
  • You can now specify a path to the programs to protect. This makes it much easier to protect large programs.
  • The leeway in the current time allowed on network workstations when checking if the time has gone backwards can now be varied from the default of 10 minutes.
  • The CCCHANGE /S option now preserves the serial number and update numbers of the token being moved.
  • The ccmb.dir field can now be in lower case.
  • Download :

    Filename Description Release Date Size
    SETUP.EXESetup.exe - Disk 1 (English)422nd Oct 991.3Mb
    SETUP.2Setup.2 - Disk 2 (English)422nd Oct 99400Kb

Click on the filename that you wish to download.

You MUST download complete sets of disks. You cannot just replace Setup.2, for example, on your second disk without replacing Setup.EXE.

You should copy the new files to your master disks and run setup.exe from your first master disk. If you already have an installed token in the destination directory, you should exit setup when it prompts you to transfer protection from the master disk.

Note that more disks may be needed than you originally received. Please copy the extra file to a new formatted disk prior to running setup.

If you are using NetScape, it may treat Setup.2 and Setup.3 as text files. If so, you should reconfigure your browser or use a different one.
