| Release 1 (30th May 2003) |
GENERAL |
A problem in the Macromedia Xtra (CCONTROL.X32) has been fixed. |
COPYCONTROL DEVELOPER'S PLATFORM |
In CCAdd, filenames of protected programs are now forced to upper case. Previous versions used upper case but in release 0 of this version, they were incorrectly forced to lower case. This fixes potential compatibility problems in release 0. |
|
The Target Path in CCAdd now accepts paths ending in a '\'. |
|
CCRemote now displays correctly when an existing .CCR file is loaded, followed by clicking on the 'Enable Try-It Re-installation'. |
TRY-IT |
Now copes with a Try-It re-installation under a different operating system from the one that was in use when the Try-It protected program was originally installed. |
CCCHANGE |
Try-It re-installation uninstalls the original token if a path is specified. |
CCMOVE |
Improved error messages for Try-It. |
KEYCALL |
Improved parsing of parameters passed to the functions in KeyCall.dll to catch any errors in your calls to it. |
CCMAKE |
/NT mode has been added to enable the CopyControl Distributor's Module (CCMAKE.EXE) to create Floppy master disks that can be used under Windows NT/2K/XP. |
Release 0 (17th February 2003) |
GENERAL |
The level of encryption has been increased and more anti-hacking techniques have been added. |
| PROTECTION CHECK |
The Simultaneous Network Users check makes sure that the user's access rights are correct before proceeding. |
|
The 'Too many network users' message is now displayed in foreign languages where appropriate. |
| CCONTROL (CCADD) |
There is now an option to copy the files you want to protect to a new directory before adding protection instead of overwriting the original files. |
|
The Target Path can now accept a drive letter in uppercase. |
|
A Browse button has been added for the Target Path. |
|
Long directory names are now ok in the 'Filename' field. |
|
You can now prohibit transfering of an installed UnLock-It protection token to another machine. This improves protection against hard disk bit copiers. |
| CCONTROL (CCREMOTE) |
You can now Paste items (such as the serial number) into the fields from the Clipboard using ^V. |
|
If you try to produce an activation code but have run out of activations, it tells you to download some more. |
| CCCHANGE |
A Try-It reinstallation code tries to uninstall an existing token if the path to it is specified. |
|
It can now cope with foreign character sets. |
| CCMOVE |
Better error messages for Try it. |
|
Defaults to CCMove path\master for the source directory and CCMove path for the destination. |
|
It can now cope with foreign character sets. |
|
Defaults to CCMove path\master for the source directory and CCMove path for the destination. |
|
For convenience, it displays the product code and version as well as the Installation Serial Number following a successful UnLock-It installation. |
|
'Save' saves the source and destination paths and diagnostics in addition to the returned data. |
|
Addition of a variation on the /O option that will overwrite invalid tokens only. |
|
The DOS version checks that paths are not too long. |
| CCEXNET |
Allows the last network user to be removed, so it is useful for single user licences. |
| KEYCALL |
You can now change the settings for the type of disk your software can run on. |
|
If using an online payment system, it can store a cookie on the user's machine that contains their Customer ID. This can then be picked up by KeyCall.dll to automatically activate the installation. |
| KEYCALL (DLL) |
If Customer ID is NULL then it looks for a cookie to get it. |
|
Improved parsing of parameters passed to it. |
|
Now copes with installations from more than one Software Developer into the same directory and (for CopyControl itself) different versions being installed to the same directory. |
| CCLOOK(DLL) |
Displays an hourglass whilst executing DOS CCLook and the timeout is reduced from 4 to 2 minutes. |
|
Displays a warning if the token they are looking at is version 3.03 or earlier and needs an older CCLOOK. |
|
A Browse button is now included for the Load function. |
|
A CCLOOK load of a .CCL file for a CCLOOK on a floppy no longer accesses the floppy drive. |
