Copy Control Updates - Version 3.8


New features in version 3.8 :

  • CCEXNET
    - If you change the number of simultaneous network users (with CCREMOTE/CCCHANGE), it will now take into account the number of users currently transferred off the server onto standalone machines.
  • CCADD
    - Advanced section settings were previously ignored - fixed.
    - Shell method could not always cope with .NET exe files - fixed.
  • CCMOVE
    - Timeout increased from 2 to 3 minutes.
  • CCREMOTE
    - Copy To ClipBoard (after generating a code) only worked every other click - fixed.
  • Runtime
    - Occasional error -1009 problem is now fixed.

    Release 3 (3rd Nov 2004)
    General The CopyControl exe and dll files now contain version information.
    TRYIT Fixed the problem of CCMove producing an error 88/9/20 when re-enabling a Try-It installation.
    KEYCALL.DLL If no path is specified, it now defaults to the directory containing KeyCall.dll.
    Release 2 (14th May 2004)
    GENERAL Problem with XTRAs for Macromedia Director fixed.
    CCCOM.DLL provided - an ActiveX component that can be used with Lisp/Autocad.
    RUNTIME Error -1009 when no drive C exists (can happen under Citrix) - fixed.
    CCCHANGE Now ok with long pathnames in 'Load Code from File'.
    CCCHANGE block has master correct for Try It (so 8/9 instead of 2/3)
     
    CCMOVE CCMOVE - TRYIT now more secure.
    CCREMOTE Limit on code length increased from 127 to 511 pairs.
    KEYCALL.DLL Could get silly options if no prodcode specified - fixed.
    Uses KeyCall.dll path if path is not specified.



    Release 1 (4th December 2003)

    GENERAL
    Version information is now included in ccchng32.dll, ccmove32.dll and ccexnet.dll.

    COPYCONTROL DEVELOPER'S PLATFORM


    In CCRemote: filenames can now contain a ~.  A bug that caused 'Copy to Clipboard' to only work every other click has been fixed.  The problem of enabling/disabling of some fields has been fixed.

    RUNTIME
    Error -1017 and -67 problems have been fixed.

    CCCHANGE


    Program details are now correctly preserved for all 10 programs in /S transfers.

    COPYCONTROL DEVELOPER'S PLATFORM
    In CCAdd, the advanced section settings were previously ignored. This has now been fixed.

    In CCRemote, Copy To ClipBoard (after generating a code) only worked every other click. This has now been fixed.

    CCMOVE
    The timeout value has been increased from 2 to 3 minutes because NT can sometimes take a long time to do the floppy disk protection checking.

    Runtime
    It was possible to get an occasional error -1009. This has now been fixed.

    Shell Protection
    Some .NET exe files could not be protected with the Shell method. This has now been fixed.
