The drivers for the (legacy) Dinkey 1S/2/Net dongles are incompatible with the Memory Integrity option in Core Isolation in Windows 10/11.

1) You may get an error message saying that the driver usbkey.sys or ddusbkey.sys is incompatible with Core Isolation:

2) Or you may get the following error in Device Manager:

3) Or in the c:\windows\inf\setupapi.dev.log you may see the error:

Device has problem: 0x27 (CM_PROB_DRIVER_FAILED_LOAD), problem status: 0xc000007b

Solutions

1) Turn off Memory Integrity. Run the Windows Security app and choose Device Security. Choose "Core Isolation" and then turn off "Memory Integrity". Note - if "Core Isolation" is not listed in Device Security then it is not available on your computer and so this problem will not be an issue for you. OR

2) Use the Dinkey Pro or FD range of dongles instead. These dongles use Windows in-built drivers and so cannot have problems like this. These dongles are also more secure, have more features, are actively developed and are also cheaper.
